Find a cure. end als.
The Joseph Kiley Foundation was created to honor the life and legacy of Joe Kiley, who courageously battled Bulbar ALS from 2018 until his passing in 2020. In his memory, we are committed to raising awareness, funding cutting-edge research, and supporting families who face the devastating reality of ALS.
What began as a simple community walk has grown into a powerful movement. Each year, hundreds gather at Chase Farm to walk side by side, united in the fight against ALS.
This year marks our 5th annual event, and we’re making it bigger than ever. Join us for:
A scenic fall walk through Chase Farm
Live music and entertainment
Local food trucks serving up seasonal favorites
Raffles, community fun, and more
All are welcome (including your four-legged friends!). Every step you take helps us move closer to a cure.
Our Mission
We aim to carry forward Joe’s fight by channeling love, community, and action into meaningful impact. Our mission is simple: (1) to fuel research that accelerates the search for treatments, diagnostic testing, and a cure; (2) to support patients and families so no one faces ALS alone, and (3) to raise awareness of this devastating disease.
our IMPACT
Our proceeds are donated to the Healey Center for ALS, a key player in finding a cure and treating people with ALS.
With the funds we’ve donated to the Healey Center to date, the Healey Center has made remarkable progress towards finding a cure. They have:
Received FDA approval for a therapy for individuals with a genetically inherited form of ALS
Launched a new research approach that allows for more rapid research
Discovered a compound that extends the life expectancy for individuals living with ALS
Discovered a compound that slows the disease’s progression – especially in individuals with the form of the disease that progresses quickly
Launched expanded access to ALS clinical trials, allowing hundreds of individuals to receive experimental drugs
… and so much more. None of this would be possible without your support.
“At the Healey Center for ALS, we are on a quest to discover life-saving therapies for the approximately 500,000 people worldwide who are affected by amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
We are a diverse group of researchers, clinicians, project managers and information technologists at Massachusetts General Hospital, working with collaborators around the globe to find novel therapies for people with ALS. Under the leadership of Merit Cudkowicz, MD, MSc, Chief of Neurology, and a Science Advisory Council (SAC) of international experts, we are in a tireless pursuit of a cure. Our large, multidisciplinary ALS clinic team is equally passionately devoted to providing innovative care that combines new tools, such as telemedicine, with age-old solutions, such as house calls, to provide the best treatments available to help people with ALS today.”
